Our chaplains offer pastoral and spiritual care to all patients and their carers, friends and family as well as our staff.
- Address: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital,
What we do
Our Chaplaincy is here for everyone – patients, relatives and staff – whether you describe yourself as religious or not.
Coming into hospital can be a very anxious time. Worries about illness, operations, loved ones and many practical matters can affect us.
A chaplain is someone who is available to listen to you, to offer you support and, if you wish, they can pray with you.
They can also help you to make contact with a leader of your own faith.
The chaplains are assisted by teams of volunteers who visit the wards and are willing to listen and talk with you.
Whatever your beliefs or lifestyle, your opinions will be respected.
There are multi-faith chapels at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals, where you may come and be quiet, whatever your viewpoint of life and whatever your religion. They are open all the time and are places for peace, contemplation and affirmation.
Both the chapels are located close to the main entrances of our hospitals.
