Looking after you on the ward

We will give you an identity bracelet and a tracking wristband during your stay.

The tracking wristband helps us manage your admission all the way through to you going home.

Please check your details on the identity bracelet are correct and if they are not, please tell a member of staff. It is important you always wear your identity bracelet during your stay in hospital.

Information about facilities in our hospitals

Food and drink

During your stay in hospital, you will be offered a choice of meals which are delivered directly to the wards.

We will provide you with three meals a day as well as drinks, and all meals are designed to meet patients’ needs.

Please tell your nurse if you have any special dietary requirements. Special menus are available to cater for vegetarian/vegan and cultural needs.

Please should complete the menu sheet on the day you arrive. It will be your choice for lunch and supper the next day.

We operate a protected mealtimes policy but we welcome visitors if you would like to help your relative or friend at mealtimes.

If you need a special therapeutic diet and can't select a suitable meal from our menu, the ward team will help you to speak to a dietitian.
