Ian Rudd
Mr Ian Rudd has been Consultant Urological Surgeon at the trust since 2020.
He qualified from Cardiff University in 2008 and completed his specialist surgical training in urology in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex School of Surgery.
He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Urology in 2019. He is a member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and the European Association of Urology.
Mr Rudd has particular expertise in functional and reconstructive urology and paediatric urology. He sees patients at both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals, with elective (planned) operating at Maidstone Hospital.
Mr Rudd has a strong commitment to education and training. He holds a Master's in Surgical Education from Imperial College London and serves as the department’s Lead for Postgraduate and Undergraduate Training.
As of 2025 he is also the British Association of Urological Surgeons Educational Lead for Medical Students nationally.
