About
Mr Craig Zhao graduated from the University of Southampton Medical School in 2011 and completed his foundation and core surgical training in the London Deanery.
He undertook his specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Deanery.
Mr Zhao gained international experience in knee reconstruction working in Sydney, Australia, where he specialised in cutting edge aspects of knee replacement surgery, including robotics and personalised knee alignment.
He has undertaken fellowships in ACL surgery, meniscal surgery and alignment correction. He has presented and published numerous research projects and is actively involved in orthopaedic education.
Mr Zhao was appointed as a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon at the Trust in 2023. He specialises in knee surgery, which includes management of lower limb trauma, ACL reconstruction, knee arthroscopy, meniscal surgery and knee replacement surgery. He strives to provide high quality and personalised care for his patients.
