Scott Takeda
Dr Scott Takeda completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of London gaining his MBBS degree in 1992. He completed his specialist training in cardiology and general internal medicine in 2006.
Dr Takeda has a specialist interest in heart failure and is the heart failure enhancing quality lead for the Trust.
He was a research fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and did substantive research into valvular heart disease and has published internationally.
He has an additional specialist interest in cardiac imaging and echocardiography and developed the stress echo service at Maidstone Hospital as well as CT coronary angiography at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
Dr Takeda has a specialist interest in pacing and developed the complex device service (ICDs and biventricular pacemakers) at the Trust, which is now the largest in Kent.
He has previously served as Clinical Lead for Cardiology.
