About

Dr Kate Stannard graduated from Guy’s & St Thomas Hospitals in 1995.

Her anaesthetic training was based in London with 18 months as clinical lecturer at Royal Perth Hospital and at the University of Western Australia.

Dr Stannard started her consultant career at the Trust in 2005 at and has developed an interest in anaesthesia for complex hip surgery and has a high risk anaesthetic assessment clinic.

She also has regular ear, nose and throat (ENT) lists for paediatric and adult patients.

Dr Stannard has had an active role in training junior doctors, having been college tutor and was enrolled as a Primary FRCA examiner at the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2019.

More recently she has taken a supervisory role at the new Kent and Medway Medical School.
