About
Dr Tim Sevitt trained at Cambridge University and Addenbrookes Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1998.
After completing general medical training in Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds he obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians before moving to London to work at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
He gained a place in the London training scheme for clinical oncology and passed his Fellowship in the Royal College of Radiologists in 2005.
During his training he also gained a fellowship to work at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr Sevitt completed his oncology training in 2008 and was appointed as a consultant clinical oncologist in the Kent Oncology Centre. He has clinics at Maidstone Hospital and at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
Dr Sevitt treats lung and upper gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies and has an interest in technical radiotherapy and clinical trials. He has been involved in the implementation of stereotactic radiotherapy in Kent and is a member of the SABR multi-disciplinary meeting.
He is Deputy Clinical Director for Oncology.
