About
Mr David Rose is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the treatment of shoulder and elbow problems.
He qualified from the Royal Free and University College London Medical School in 2000 and went on to complete orthopaedic specialist training on the South West Thames training rotation.
Mr Rose has undertaken fellowships at the Johns Hopkins Medical Centre, USA, the Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, Australia, and at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. During this time he was fortunate to train under a number of world-renowned surgeons.
He has published extensively in peer-reviewed orthopaedic journals, presented work at international conferences and continues to be actively involved in research.
Mr Rose was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Trust in 2014 and has a particular interest in arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery.
His approach to shoulder problems involves discussion of non-surgical and surgical options with each patient once a diagnosis has been made.
He operates almost exclusively on shoulders and uses only the most modern surgical techniques. He attends specialist shoulder meetings to make sure his skills are kept up to date.
