Trudie Phillips
Dr Trudie Phillips started her consultant career at the Trust in 2014.
She has a diverse clinical background in anaesthesia and critical care with special interests in paediatric, obstetric and oncology anaesthesia.
Dr Phillips qualified from Newcastle Medical School in 1998, before undertaking her anaesthetic training in the South East London region.
This incorporated a two year training sabbatical in Sydney, Australia where she gained experience in liver/renal transplant medicine and intensive care.
She completed both a year of advanced paediatric training at Great Ormond Street Hospital and advanced obstetric training at the Royal London Hospital.
Dr Phillips was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2006.
She has an active role in medical education and patient safety. She is actively involved in multi-disciplinary human factor high fidelity simulation training and is an educational supervisor to foundation doctors and trainee anaesthetists.
