Dr James Peerless began working as a consultant at the Trust in 2018. He qualified from the University of Leeds in medicine and surgery in 2008 while also attaining a First Class intercalated degree in anatomy (2006).

Dr Peerless completed his anaesthetic training in Kent and London hospitals within the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery.

He completed advanced training in obstetric anaesthesia at St Thomas’ Hospital, and paediatric anaesthesia at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

Dr Peerless was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2014. 

As part of his commitment to medical education, he was admitted as a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators in 2018.

Dr Peerless is an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London and is an undergraduate educational and clinical supervisor for emergency medicine and critical care.
