About
Dr Paul Moran qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2000 while also undertaking an intercalated BSc in Physiology.
He undertook most of his anaesthetic training in south east England, which also incorporated a year working in Perth, Australia.
Dr Moran was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2010.
He has clinical interests in colorectal anaesthesia (including enhanced recovery after surgery) as well as orthopaedic and obstetric anaesthesia.
Aside from his clinical interests, Dr Moran is active in postgraduate education and training, initially setting up high fidelity simulation training for the Trust in 2011.
He continues to run both simulation and human factors training for the Trust.
Dr Moran was Clinical Director for Theatres and Critical Care for five years, stepping down in 2023.
