About
Dr Rohit Gowda has been part of the Paediatrics department at the Trust since June 2014.
He qualified (MBBS) from Bangalore Medical College in India in 2002 and started his training in paediatrics in the UK in 2003.
Dr Gowda became a Member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2006. He has wide experience in general paediatrics and neonatology having worked in different settings of paediatrics in the NHS.
Dr Gowda’s special interest is gastroenterology and he has been awarded SPIN recognition for training in gastroenterology by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Dr Gowda trained in gastroenterology and hepatology in Birmingham Children’s Hospital and also worked as a locum consultant in paediatrics with a special interest in gastroenterology at University Hospital Coventry.
Currently Dr Gowda is part of team of two consultants in the Paediatric Gastroenterology department and offers services such as specialist clinics for children with gastro-intestinal problems, endoscopy services, IBD service and coeliac clinics.
