Jennifer Glendenning
Dr Jennifer Glendenning qualified from St George's Medical School in 1999, obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2002 and Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2008.
She completed her clinical oncology training in London at The Royal Marsden Hospital and Guy's and St Thomas' hospitals and undertook a research fellowship focussing on Triple Negative breast cancer leading to MD(Res) in 2016 before being appointed as a consultant clinical oncologist at the Kent Oncology Centre in 2016.
Dr Glendenning specialises in breast and primary brain malignancies and provides NHS clinics at Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and William Harvey hospitals and co-chairs the Kent Breast Non-Surgical Oncology Group.
She speaks on the Younger Women Together online patient support meetings hosted by Breast Cancer Now.
Dr Glendenning maintains an active interest in clinical research, acting as Principal Investigator for many trials in Kent and is/was on the trial management groups for HER2-RADiCAL and BRITER studies. She is joint cancer (breast) sub-specialty lead for CRN Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Dr Glendenning is actively involved in oncology teaching and leads the brain tumour module on the MSc Oncology course at the Institute of Cancer Research, London.
With surgical colleagues she has co-edited Oncoplastic Breast Surgery A practical guide, has publications in peer-reviewed journals, is regularly invited to speak at local and national meetings and has provided clinical expertise for NICE technology appraisals.
