About

Mr Richard Freeman completed his medical degree at Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ Medical School in London before completing registrar training and a Master's in Orthopaedics on the Guy’s Hospital rotation.

He was then selected for a highly-regarded foot and ankle fellowship in London working with James Calder and Lloyd Williams where he gained a wealth of experience including treating professional athletes.

Following this he completed a further fellowship in Brighton, developing skills in complex trauma.

His elective practice includes the full scope of foot and ankle surgery including managing complex deformities, ankle arthritis and forefoot deformities. 

He has a significant sports injuries practice managing ligament and tendon injuries.

Mr Freeman is a globally-recognised expert in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery and regularly teaches these advanced techniques to consultants from around the world.

He was appointed as a consultant specialising in foot and ankle surgery in 2016.
