About
Dr George Bird's particular interests are liver disease and endoscopy and he is based at Maidstone Hospital.
The viral hepatitis department is Kent’s largest and works closely with King’s College Hospital.
In endoscopy, our JAG-accredited department provides a range of diagnostic and interventional techniques, including ERCP.
As a training centre, Maidstone Hospital is also involved in the development of medical students, junior doctors as well as specialist trainees.
