About
Dr Michael Batley trained at Guy’s Hospital as a student and a registrar. He has been at member of staff at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust since 2003.
Dr Batley has published numerous articles, which have concentrated on rheumatoid arthritis and its comorbidities (as part of the Early Rheumatoid Arthritis Study and National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society studies).
He runs the early arthritis clinic, the regional complex rheumatology service recognised by NHSE and a large research unit. Dr Batley is also the Chair of the Kent and Medway Rheumatology Group and the Chair of the West Kent BMA group.
