The Trust has two Eye Clinic Liaison Officers, who are based in the Eye Clinics.

What the Eye Clinic Liaison Officers do

Dianne Blockley and Angie Berkley offer support to anyone attending the eye clinic or who is an inpatient in hospital. They also contact people at home if they have not been able to see one of them in the clinic. They listen to anxieties, offer emotional support, answer questions and give advice about a range of help that is available outside of the hospital.

In addition, they offer support during a consultation or treatment as well as assist with the sight impairment registration process and ensure that paperwork is completed and distributed. They are part of the Kent Association for the Blind Rehabilitation Team and have close links to the services KAB offers, and can signpost to many other services.
