Our Emergency Departments (ED) are research active with opportunities to get involved.
DRAFT3 CASP
The DRAFT3-CASP study is looking at the comparison for treating distal radius fractures with plaster casts or wrist splints. Participants will be asked to go through several questionnaires before, during and after their treatment has ended.
How to get involved
Our Critical Care Research team cover three specialties: the Emergency Department (ED); anaesthetics, peri-operative, medicine and pain (APOMP); and intensive care (ITU), and have a successful portfolio of studies.
If you are interested in participating in research and would like some more information about the studies we are supporting, contact the Critical Care Research team at mtw-tr.criticalcare-research@nhs.net.

CoMiTED
A collapsed lung (also known as a ‘pneumothorax’) can occur following trauma such as falls, road traffic accidents or knife injuries. The CoMiTED study was comparing different treatment options for a collapsed lung. Results coming soon
