Professional Profile
Mr Dey commenced his ophthalmic training in the West Midlands before embarking on his higher training in London. He undertook Fellowships in Medical Retina/Uveitis and Medical Education at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital and at UCL Medical School where he was involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education in ophthalmology. During this time he obtained a Diploma of Medical Education and received UCL Medical Education Award and Moorfields Star Awards for his services to Medical Education.
He has a special interest in Inflammatory and Infective conditions affecting the eye, notably Tuberculosis. He has undertaken specialist Uveitic fellowships at Moorfields , Western Eye and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He is currently the lead for Uveitic services at Maidstone. He is actively involved in training junior ophthalmologists in Cataract surgery and is a member of the Training faculty at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
