Mr Hamann graduated from Kings College, London in 1997, completing his basic and higher surgical training in London and the South East of England. He received advanced training in nasal reconstructive and endoscopic sinus surgery at Guy’s Hospital, London; in thyroid surgery at the Royal Marsden Hospital and in paediatric ENT surgery at the Evelina Hospital, London.

Mr Hamann has a specialist interest in disorders of the nose and sinuses, and thyroid surgery. He has a particular interest in complex and revision endoscopic sinus surgery. He also has specialist expertise in gastro and laryngopharyngeal reflux and is a founding member of the pioneering multidisciplinary reflux team at Reflux UK. He is a member of the West Kent Cancer Network in thyroid oncology and manages benign and malignant conditions of the thyroid. He also undertakes general adult and paediatric ENT surgery.

Mr Hamann is an expert in digital health and sits on the council of the Royal Society of Medicine section for eHealth and Telemedicine. Mr Hamann is an enthusiastic teacher and is responsible for the training of higher surgical trainees, as a clinical supervisor of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery.
