Professional Profile

Mr Young qualified from medical school (University College London/The Royal Free) in 2000, going on to complete his Orthopaedic training in London in 2014. He has trained at some of London’s most prestigious Orthopaedic centres, including The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore, Middlesex), St. Georges Hospital (Tooting), The Royal Free Hospital and The Royal London. He trained in knee surgery under the late Mr Neil Bradley at The Royal Surrey County Hospital before undertaking two specialist fellowship years in Brisbane, Australia. The first year focusing on joint replacement with cutting edge techniques using computer-assisted navigation and robotic surgery. The second year was spent with Dr Peter Myers, one of the worlds pre-eminent sports knee surgeons, furthering his techniques in joint reconstruction, ligament surgery, meniscal and cartilage preservation and meniscal transplantation.

He was appointed as a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee surgery at MTW in 2016.
