Professional Profile
Mr Craig Zhao graduated from University of Southampton Medical School in 2011 and completed his foundation and core surgical training in the London Deanery. He undertook his specialist training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery in the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Deanery.
He gained international experience in knee reconstruction working in Sydney, Australia, where he specialised in cutting edge technologies of knee replacement surgery, including robotics and personalised knee alignment. He has undertaken fellowships in ACL surgery, meniscal surgery and alignment correction. He has presented and published numerous research projects and is actively involved in orthopaedic education.
Craig was appointed as a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 2023.
