Professional Profile

Dr Sevitt trained at Cambridge University and Addenbrookes Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1998.

After completing general medical training in Ipswich and Bury St.Edmunds he gained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians prior to moving to London to work at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He then gained a place in the London training scheme for clinical Oncology and passed his Fellowship in the Royal College of Radiologists in 2005. During his training he also gained a fellowship to work at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr Sevitt completed his oncology training in 2008 and was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Kent Oncology Centre. He attends clinics in Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells Hospital and also at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.

At present Dr Sevitt is the chair of the Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells lung multi-disciplinary meeting. He is also interested in recruiting patients for clinical trials and is currently clinical lead in lung cancer research for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Clinical Research Network.
