Professional Profile
Dr Rohit Sasidharan graduated from Karakonam Medical College in Kerala, India, in 2013. He completed his postgraduate training at Government Medical College, Kozhikode, Kerala.
Following this, he undertook a three-year Fellowship and Advanced Specialization Certificate Course in Clinical Oncology and Research at Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata, a leading oncology centre in India. During his fellowship, he collaborated with the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, working with the Computer Science Department to develop an AI-based predictive model for lung cancer treatment outcomes using CT scans.
After relocating to the UK, Dr Sasidharan served as a clinical fellow at Leeds Teaching Hospitals for nearly two years, where he obtained his FRCR degree in Clinical Oncology.
He then became a consultant at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, specialising in the treatment of prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, as well as upper gastrointestinal malignancies. His expertise includes systemic treatments such as cytotoxic chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapies, and targeted agents.
