Professional Profile
Dr Rohit Gowda has been working in the Paediatric department at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust since June 2014. He qualified (MBBS) from Bangalore Medical College in India in 2002 and has trained in paediatrics in the UK since 2003.
Dr Gowda became a Member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2006 (MRCPCH). He has wide experience in the field of general paediatrics and neonatology having worked in different settings of paediatrics in the NHS.
Dr Gowda’s special interest is in gastroenterology and he has been awarded the SPIN recognition for training in Gastroenterology by the RCPCH.
Dr Gowda trained in gastroenterology and hepatology in Birmingham Children’s Hospital and also worked as a locum consultant in general paediatrics with a special interest in gastroenterology at University Hospital Coventry.
Currently Dr Gowda is part of team of two consultants in paediatric gastroenterology and offers services such as specialist clinics for children with gastro-intestinal problems, endoscopy services, IBD service and coeliac clinics.
