Professional Profile
Dr Leech graduated from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1990. He was a Specialist Registrar in South East Thames working in hospitals in East Kent, East Sussex, Guy’s and King’s including a six-month fellowship in the Liver Transplant Unit at King’s College Hospital. He undertook a one-year sabbatical spent at the Royal Perth Hospital, Australia incorporating four months in “Outback anaesthesia” working with the RFDS.
Dr Leech was appointed as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in 1999. He was the Lead Consultant for Obstetric Anaesthesia 1999-2011 and College Tutor from 2000-2006.
He was Clinical Director for Critical Care from 2011 – 2015 and his other roles include Consultant Appraiser, Lead Clinician for long term vascular access and Lead Clinician for intrathecal chemotherapy.
