Professional Profile

Dr Sinden trained in the South East initially as general practitioner and subsequently as an anaesthetist. He is on the specialist register for both General Practice & Anaesthesia.

Dr Sinden has worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Trust since December 1999 and was previously consultant anaesthetist at Conquest Hospital, Hastings.

He plays a significant role in anaesthesia education as a college tutor, and is currently Deputy Regional Advisor for Royal College of Anaesthetists (Kent) and Core Training Programme Director for HEKSS (Sussex), and anaesthetics e-portfolio lead for HEKSS.

Dr Sinden’s clinical interests include regional nerve blockade using ultrasound and obstetric anaesthesia – he was previously lead for obstetric anaesthesia in the Trust.
