Professional Profile
Dr Pang qualified from Bristol University in 2006, with a medical degree and an intercalated BSc in Cancer Biology and Immunology.
She completed core medical training at Maidstone, followed by specialist oncology training at The Royal Marsden, Imperial College, and The Royal Surrey County Hospital, achieving FRCR in Clinical Oncology in 2018 and MSc in oncology in 2019. Dr Pang then pursued a clinical fellowship specializing in stereotactic radiotherapy at Royal Surrey County Hospital and joined the team as a Consultant in Clinical Oncology at Maidstone in 2021.
Dr Pang specialises in the management of lung and urological malignancies, and stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT), with particular interest in advanced radiotherapy techniques, and expanding the use and availability of SABR.
Other interests and roles include:
- Lung Cancer Non-Surgical Oncology Group Lead – helping to keep lung cancer care up to date and in line with national standards
- Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression Lead – overseeing the pathway at the Kent Oncology Centre to ensure care for patients with spinal cord compression is optimised
- training – teaching junior doctors and allied health professionals.
