Breast cancer, lung cancer
Dr Brown qualified in 1998 from St George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London. She then spent time working in A & E and undertook two years of General Medical training whilst obtaining her M.R.C.P qualification. Whilst doing this a last minute change of the hospital rota led to her spending time as a junior doctor in the Oncology Department here in Kent Oncology. From there Dr Brown’s love of Oncology developed.
Dr Brown trained across London and Kent mainly at The Royal Marsden Hospitals, Guys and St Thomas’s and in Kent itself.
Alongside her clinical work in the fields of Breast and Lung cancer, she is keen that all patients have access to clinical trials where appropriate. Dr Brown is actively involved in the Trust’s research and trials department bringing new trials to Kent and recruiting patients to take part.
She is also passionate about the importance of education within medicine particularly for our trainees, who are our next generation of Oncologists. Dr Brown has undertaken qualifications in Medical Education and is an Educational Supervisor/College Tutor.
