Having graduated from Manipal University in India with distinction and various prizes, Dr Agarwal completed his MRCP and higher specialist training in the South London and Kent, Surrey and Sussex region.
He was first appointed as Consultant Physician in 2010 at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, where he was instrumental in developing the Acute Medical Unit as one of the best performing in the region.
He is extensively involved with Education and Training of junior doctors and Nurses in the region and received 2 Clinical Excellence Awards for this as well an award from Higher Education Kent, Surrey and Sussex for his contribution towards education and training. He has several national and international posters, publications and presentations to his credit and continues to work on Clinical (Quality Improvement) audits.
He is a member of the HEKSS Acute Medicine Specialist Training Committee and also the Lead for Special Skills for this region.
He joined Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS trust in 2014 and continues to develop the Medical Assessment Unit, including ambulatory care.
