Professional Profile
Dr Lloyd trained at Charing Cross Hospital, and qualified in 1984. She did her neurology training at Atkinson Morley Hospital, King’s College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She received her MD in “Aspects of Cortical Function of Motor Neurone Disease – Positron Emmision Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Studies” in 1996. She worked as a lecturer at Mulago Hospital and Makarere University in Kampala, Uganda for 18 months.
Dr Lloyd has been a Consultant since 2000, and since 2004 at MTW. She works 2 days a week, doing general neurology clinics, including prescribing disease modifying therapies in multiple sclerosis. She is currently the Clinical Lead for neurology. Dr Lloyd has strong links with the Neuroscience Center at King’s College Hospital, where she attends there academic morning.
