Professional Profile

Dr Andrew Feneley received his medical degree from King’s College London in 2013 also attaining a degree in Translational Medicine and the Associateship of King’s College (AKC).

He completed his anaesthesia training in the South London Deanery in 2023 with advanced training in paediatrics and trauma anaesthesia, having been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in 2021. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (AFICM).

Dr Feneley was appointed as a consultant at the trust in 2025, providing both anaesthesia and critical care services. He is the lead anaesthetist for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) in partnership with Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust.

Dr Feneley has a significant input into medical education. He is an medical director for the ALS and EPALS life support courses and an instructor on the GIC instructor course. He also supervises the training of doctors – at the resident doctor level and also as a clinical academic tutor for medical students at Kent and Medway Medical School.

He completed an MSc in Clinical Education at Brighton and Sussex Medical School in 2023 and has been a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators since 2018.

When not working at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, Dr Feneley also provides services as a doctor at motorsport events in the UK and internationally. He passed the Diploma in Immediate Medical Care (DIMC) of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2025.
