On Tuesday 21 September 2021 Tunbridge Wells Hospital, part of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, celebrates its 10th anniversary, and we’d like you to get involved with the celebrations!

Were you a patient who was there when the hospital opened its doors on 21 September 2011? Perhaps you were one of the first babies to be born on our maternity ward or one of the first patients to undergo an operation in our theatres at Tunbridge Wells Hospital? Whatever your story, we’d love to hear from you!

Please share your words and any photos and tell us how our amazing staff helped you and the difference it made to your life – you can email us at mtw-tr.communications@nhs.net . Please send these in to us by Friday 10 September 2021.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital was the first NHS hospital to provide every inpatient with their own room, including en-suite facilities and ceiling to floor windows overlooking the surrounding woodland. Today the hospital is seen nationally as an example of best practice in design of patient-safe facilities. It is part of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust – an acute hospital Trust providing a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to over 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
