Fancy spreading some festive cheer whilst also raising money for staff at your local hospital?

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Charitable Fund is asking people to take part in its Christmas Jumper Day.

Taking part is easy. Simply pull on a Christmas jumper on Friday 11 December and make a donation, big or small, to the charity via https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/teamMTW

Take part as a family, virtually with your colleagues or individually – it really is up to you. You can even let others know you’re taking part in the fundraiser by sharing a photo of you wearing a Christmas jumper on your social media channels and tagging @mtwcharity.

All monies raised will go towards supporting staff welfare projects at Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital including enhancing shower and changing room areas at Maidstone Hospital.

Laura Kennedy, Fundraising Manager, said: “It’s been a tough year for everyone but it has been particularly hard for our exceptional staff who have been working non-stop throughout the pandemic to ensure our patients still receive the outstanding care they need and deserve.

“Looking after the health and wellbeing of our staff is really important as it helps them to stay well physically and mentally so they can carry out their job during these challenging times. Whether they work on the frontline or behind the scenes everyone plays an important role when it comes to delivering patient care.

“We’d love the local community to get behind Christmas Jumper Day and pull on the most sparkly, brightest, jumper they can find.”
