The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 28 bed ward designed to manage the flow of emergency medical admissions. The unit assesses the condition of patients who have been referred from A&E, outpatient clinics or a GP. It is located in purple zone, level -1 at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

We also have an AAU (Acute Assessment Unit) at Maidstone Hospital.
