The Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) is a 14 bed ward that manages the flow of emergency medical admissions. The unit assesses the condition of patients who have been referred from A&E, outpatient clinics or a GP. It is located in the red zone on the ground floor of Maidstone Hospital.

We also have an AMU at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
