Professional Profile

Dr Mills has been a consultant radiologist for 24 years with 11 years  experience at Medway hospital and 13 years at Maidstone Hospital. She qualified at Southampton University medical school.

Dr Mills has postgraduate qualifications in general medicine and in radiology: MRCP 1985  FRCR 1989

Her major interest is in breast disease and breast screening. The Trust has a very busy and successful breast unit based at Maidstone Hospital treating many hundreds of new breast cancers every year. We are fortunate to enjoy a dedicated clinic with first class facilities and a large experienced and committed staff. The team has published widely on breast imaging over the years and developed and pioneered the use of microbubbles in helping stage the axilla in breast cancer.

Dr Mills is also interested in the diagnosis and management of lung disease, particularly in lung cancer. She helps run the lung MDM and perform most of the biopsies required for the lung patients at Maidstone.

In common with the other trust radiologists Dr Mills perform general imaging duties as well and contribute to the trust out of hours on call rota.
