Paediatric anaesthetics, Critical Care, Sepsis and regional anaesthesia for upper limb surgery
Dr Sigston initially trained in Edinburgh and then moved to London to gain further experience, in particular at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. His special areas of interest are Aanesthetics, Paediatric Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Sepsis, as well as an interest in Regional Anaesthesia for Upper Limb Surgery.
In 1998 he commenced his consultant post in the Trust in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. Has previously been lead for Intensive Care, Kent Network Lead for Critical Care and Divisional Director for Planned Services.
Dr Sigston was appointed the Medical Director for the Trust in 2010 and sits on the Trust Board. His responsibilities are to provide professional leadership to all the medical staff in the trust and to ensure high quality care to our patients. He is the Responsible Officer and responsible for medical revalidation.
