Critical care, regional anaesthesia and medical leadership
Dr Paul Sigston initially trained in Edinburgh and then moved to London to gain further experience, in particular at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. His special areas of interest are Anaesthetics, Paediatric Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Sepsis, as well as an interest in Regional Anaesthesia for Upper Limb Surgery.
In 1998 he commenced his consultant post in the Trust in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. He has previously held leadership positions including Medical Director in the Trust 2010-2017. He continues practising clinically as well as investigating clinical errors from a medicolegal position.
