Paediatric oncology, paediatric neurology and tongue tie release

Dr Pandya is the named Paediatrician as the POSCU lead for the Trust.  Dr Pandya’s experience in paediatric oncology was the result of spending 12 months at the Royal Marsden Hospital, a busy tertiary paediatric oncology unit. Dr Pandya’s training included the diagnosis and management of acute leukemia (ALL, AML), bone marrow transplants (allogeneic and unrelated donors), solid tumours, bone tumours, hepatomas and hepatoblastomas and neuroblastomas.

Dr Pandya also had a year of training as a registrar in neurology at Guys hospital. This specialty has been of special interest since their early introduction to children with special needs and ongoing chronic neurological problems. Dr Pandya’s experience has included the diagnosis, interpretation of electrophysiological investigations (EEG, EMG), investigations of progressive neurological derangement, neuroradiological interpretation (CT and MRI) and management of epileptic disorders. My experience has included the investigations in the management of the neuropathic bladder.

Dr Pandya has also been trained in tongue tie release for babies under 4 months of age with ongoing feeding difficulties.
