Professional Profile
Dr Davies trained at St George’s Hospital Medical School graduating in 1998. She then did her postgraduate medical training in the south east during which time she was the clinical lecturer in geriatric medicine at St George’s. She spent a year in Melbourne, Australia learning about community geriatrics and dementia before taking up her first Consultant job at St George’s Hospital , Tooting, where she developed the orthogeriatric service in a major trauma centre, and was heavily involved in the medical school, both teaching and assessing students and developing the curriculum.
She then moved to Surrey and Sussex NHS trust where she established a surgical liaison service for the older surgical patients to improve their hospital experience.
Dr Davies started working at Tunbridge Wells Hospital in January 2017 and has subsequently taken on the role of clinical lead for geriatrics and stroke and has been integral in growing the orthogeriatric service and developing the frailty services.
She is also the training programme director for Geriatric medicine in KSS and a question writer for the Geriatric medicine specialty exam.
