Dr Wilson initially studied Biochemistry specialising in Molecular Neurobiology. He then trained at Guys & St Thomas’ Medical School and at the St George’s School of Anaesthesia.
Dr Wilson carried out advanced training in regional anaesthesia and pain medicine and undertook extensive cancer pain management at St Christopher’s Hospice in South London.
He works as an anaesthetist primarilyfor emergencies and complex urological surgery. He looks after patients with acute, chronic and cancer pain problems as part of the Trust’s multidisciplinary team. Dr Wilson also performs a wide range of evidence based interventional techniques under X-ray and ultrasound guidance including epidurals, facet joint injections and radiofrequency.
He has a strong interest in education and teaches at the Royal College of Anaesthetists on pain and lectures on the Palliative Care MSc at Kings College.
