Dr Catherine Cashell qualified from King’s College London in 2011.

Dr Cashell completed her anaesthetic training in southeast London working in a range of teaching hospitals (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital) and district general hospitals in the region. She undertook specialist pain training for six months in Medway Maritime hospital and furthered her experience by completing training for one year in the chronic pain centre in St Thomas’ Hospital in London.

During this training she completed the FFPMRCA specialist pain exams. She became a consultant in anaesthesia and chronic pain in December 2023 taking up a post in Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Trust.

She has a keen interest in teaching medical students, local GPs and doctors wanting to specialise in pain medicine. She has taken on the role of college tutor for the Faculty of Pain Medicine under the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
