Highways England will be closing the A21 both ways from 10pm on Fri-day 14 February to 8am on Saturday 22 February.
The closure will be in place 24-hrs a day.
Leading up to the closure there will be overnight lane closures from Monday 10 February to Thursday 13 February from 8pm to 6am.
The diversion route involves all traffic using a route through Tonbridge, so there will be significant disrup-tion for staff and patients coming from the M25 or Sevenoaks / Tonbridge areas. It will also affect the staff shuttle bus from Tonbridge Station to the hospital during peak times. To help warn and inform the public and staff, Highways England will be displaying information boards/leaflets in Tunbridge Wells Hospital’s main reception.
Full details of the closures and the diversion route can be found here.
Southern Gas Networks will also be carrying out work to install new mains near Maidstone Hospital. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation 24-hours a day at the junction of Marigold Way from Monday 17 February to Friday 6 March. This will cause considerable disruption for traffic leaving the site between 3.30pm and 6.30pm.
If you are planning on travelling to any of our sites during these times, please leave extra time.
