Maidstone Birth Centre has celebrated another wonderful milestone.

Little Ada Mason became the Centre’s 3,000th delivery last Thursday (4th October).

Ada entered the world at 12.21pm weighing in at 6lb, 9.5oz.

The newborn is pictured with her parents Abbie and Elliot Mason. The Maidstone couple were presented with a special gift by midwife Katie Smith.

Abbie said: “It couldn’t have gone better. We had a water birth and it was really relaxed. The Birth Centre feels like you are at home with support.”

Elliot added: “I would like to thank everyone who has helped us. The whole experience has been really good.”

Ada is a much-loved little sister for Ruby, 9.

Editor’s notes
The Maidstone Birth Centre opened in September 2011. It is a beautifully designed and comfortable environment staffed by senior midwives, where women can give birth and learn how to care for their babies in a relaxed home-from-home setting.

If your pregnancy is straightforward and there is no reason to think that you, or your baby, are likely to need medical support during labour, or after birth, then the Birth Centre is a good choice for you.
