As part of the national #makeMaypurple for stroke awareness month, our stroke team is holding a cake sale at both our hospitals to help raise funds for charity. The team will be on hand to advise on stroke prevention and how to deal with life after stroke too. They will also be taking and recording blood pressures – high blood pressure is one of the biggest risk factors for stroke and is a contributing factor in 54% of strokes.

The events will be taking place on:

• Tuesday 23 May in the main reception at Tunbridge Wells Hospital between 10am – 2pm
• Wednesday 24 May in the main reception at Maidstone Hospital between 10am – 2pm
