This week, 15 – 19 May, is Dementia Awareness Week and MTW has stands in the main reception areas of both our hospitals to offer help and support to people with dementia and their carers.

Staff will be available to talk to from 10am until early afternoon each day. The full timetable includes:

Maidstone Hospital

• Monday – Involve Carers and MTW Volunteer Services
• Tuesday – MTW key dementia workers, cake stall and Heart of Kent Hospice
• Wednesday & Thursday – Garden of England Care, Bluebird Care and Crossroads
• Friday – MTW research team

Tunbridge Wells Hospital

• Monday – Crossroads Care
• Tuesday – Voluntary services and Age Uk 9am – 11am & 2pm – 4pm
• Wednesday – Tunbridge Wells Over Fifties Forum
• Thursday – Dementia decisions Guide and Family Mosaic and Alzheimers Society
• Friday – MTW research team
