All applications are made through NHS Jobs to ensure that our Recruitment process is fair.

We do not accept CV’s so it is imperative that you fill in the form correctly. Please provide as much detail as this is the only document the Recruiting Manager will see when shortlisting.

Below are a few key points to bear in mind when applying for a role.

Ensure your personal Details are correct: Most correspondence between applicants and the recruitment team are completed via email. So it is imperative that the information you provide on your application form is correct.

Tailor your application to the role: Utilise the supporting statement field – use this section as a chance to sell yourself. Why are you the ideal candidate? What makes your application different to others? Why does this role interest you? Why are you suited to this role? Do you have any previous jobs or training that related to the job? What specialist skills do you have that make you an ideal candidate?

Read through the form for any errors: Once you have submitted an application you will not be able to make any changes so it is imperative that your form has been checked for any errors or omissions prior to submission. Remember this is the first impression that the recruiting manager has of you so grammar is imperative.
