Voluntary Services

Gen Image

Approximately 300 volunteers give over 900 hours of service a week to the Trust. The help of these volunteers not only benefits our patients and visitors, but provides essential support to the work of paid staff.

Volunteers are recruited and selected by the Voluntary Services Manager, Mark Vince, who assesses the needs of both the volunteer and the Trust. Where necessary, training is given and ongoing supervision and support is provided.

We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers in a wide variety of settings; roles may range from helping in the League of Friends' Shop to assisting medical secretaries or assisting on a ward.

Volunteers may give as little as 3 hours a fortnight and all out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
